Dirty Computer

A slow computer isn't always caused by spyware or virus infections. Another easily fixable solution to your computer running slow, is to make sure that then fans inside the computer don't have an excess amount of dust and dirt clogging them up.
If you have noticed that your computer is louder than normal, it is probably because your fans are blowing harder trying to keep your computer cooler. And they are blowing harder, probably because you have a lot of dust buildup on your processor fan causing your processor to overheat.
This is something you can fix at home yourself. All you need is a screw driver to remove the screws holding on the side of the case, or if you have a Dell computer, you probably won't even need that. You will also need some canned air, or an air compressor. I would suggest unplugging your computer and taking it outside if it is really dirty and blow out all the fans and try to get as much of the dust out as possible. Just make sure that if you used canned air, not to turn the can upside down while blowing out your computer. And you might even want to wear a dust mask and protective glasses so you don't breath in the dust that you are blowing out.
Just doing that can make a huge difference in how quiet your computer runs and will also improve the performance of your computer.
